The S-boom telescopic booms by Genie have been outfitted with a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally as opposed to other aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access tight places during construction and industrial applications. They are also recognized for their ability to rapidly maneuver through a job site with great traction and drive speed. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and can stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables provide easy, quick positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 unit has a telescoping jib, known as the Jib-Extend, which goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This unit can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs that were inaccessible by typical jibs before. The Z-80/60 unit's secondary reverse-articulating boom gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This feature enables over and up reaching tasks to be done with zero front arm swing.
The Fast Mast System built by Genie allows for time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms platform needs to either be lifted or lowered without needing to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system allows both booms to be fully raised at the same time. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system lessens the time needed for users to ascend and descend, increasing effectiveness and production.
