Forklifts are used for lifting and carrying cargo in job sites like construction and warehousing. Forklifts are available in different classes that utilize different kinds of fuel. The electric lift truck is becoming extremely popular in a wide array of industries. They are powered by rechargeable lead-acid batteries that are more powerful and larger compared to batteries utilized for cars. In this broad category of electric lift trucks, there are various sub-types distinguished by several common specifications.
Load Capacity
Load capacity is the amount of weight which a particular kind of lift truck can support.
Stroke
The vertical lift travel of the forklift is the stroke. It describes the amount of difference between the fully-raised and fully-loaded positions of the particular lift truck.
Classes
Classes of lift trucks categorize machinery by type to be able to organize the features of the various models. Forklifts are divided into eight classes. Classes I, II, and III pertain to electric forklifts. Class I lift trucks cover electric motor trucks designed to be ridden by the operator while in operation. Typically the information also includes the weight of the forklift truck without the battery.

Input is the total energy input that the forklift's battery is made to accept while charging. This is really an important condition. For instance, an electric lift truck may be able to accept either 460 or 230 volts at a time.
